Worship Ministry Volunteer Page
Welcome!
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossian 3:16–17 (ESV)
The worship ministry here at Fairfield Church of Christ exists to proclaim the Gospel and encourage one another to live in light of it out through various creative outlets! One of the primary ways we do that is through our Sunday morning worship services where we work as a team to present this message through song and scripture to the gathered Body of Christ. We also seek to encourage one another on the team through our time spent working together and developing relationships with one another! We are always on the look out for new people with a variety of gifts to join our team! Here’s an overview of what the onboarding process for the worship ministry looks like!
Submit the worship volunteer form
From there I will review your information and reach out to schedule a meeting with you where I can get to know you and to do a brief musical/technology assessment
Visit a Wednesday night rehearsal at 6:30pm to get to know some of the team and see what things are like
Assuming all goes well, I will begin to work you into our volunteer rotation schedule. I typically plan a month ahead so there will be a gap between your acceptance and when you will be first assigned on a Sunday. During that gap you are welcome and encouraged to come to our rehearsals on Wednesdays at 6:30 to practice and begin to learn some more of our song library, this is not required but I have found it can be helpful.
If you have any questions feel free send an email to drew@werfcc.com!
