Fairfield Church of Christ Worship Arts

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

Colossians 3:16 (ESV)

Songs we sing…

Our worship ministry exists to both teach and encourage people in their walk with Christ. Music is a beautiful tool that deeply connects both our hearts and minds to Biblical truths wherever we find ourselves. Whether we need comfort in the middle of a storm or need to let out a shout of praise, music is a vehicle that allows to express our deepest hurts and our greatest joy! If you have any question or are interested in being a part of the team that makes this ministry possible at our church, send an email to drew@werfcc.com

This is not an exhaustive list of all the songs we sing, but will hopefully give you a flavor of what our worship is like! Each we week we seek to create a setlist that compliments the direction of the teaching for the morning as best we can. That can include old songs, new songs or even a mash up of old and new! Our heart and desire is to lead the church in songs that encourage and teach us Biblical truths that we can carry with us throughout our days.

Liminal Liturgy

Liminal Liturgy is a songwriting team made up of members from our worship team, dedicated to creating songs that inspire, teach, and encourage the church. Our name blends two key concepts:

Liminal: Relating to a transitional or initial stage of a process.

Liturgy: A form or structure through which public worship is conducted.

These songs speak to the transitional space we all find ourselves in between now and eternity. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 reminds us that life is a mixture of joy and celebration, contrasted by times of sorrow. Our music reflects these varied experiences, grounding them in God’s Word. We hope you find comfort and encouragement in these Biblical truths as you navigate the liminal moments of life.

Purpose

We are excited for our first EP release called Purpose! This was written in conjunction with our fall 2024 All Church Study on the life of Joseph. The story of Joseph in Genesis powerfully illustrates how God's plans and purposes surpass human understanding. Despite the many trials Joseph endured, God was with him every step of the way, guiding him toward the ultimate goal of restoring his family and preserving the lives of many. Similarly, in our own lives, we often face storms and challenges that leave us questioning where God is in the midst of our struggles. These songs serve as a reminder that, even in the darkest moments, God is present and can transform even the most difficult situations for good.
